wish the pineapple bun had more cookie topping and that the bun was softer, but the grilled chicken and egg were good. wasn't a huge fan of the sauce (it was a bit too much). the mango pomelo sago could have been nicer with more pomelo and sago :")

We actually stumbled upon this restaurant by following some people because they looked like they knew where the good spots were. Stalkerish? Maybe. But it definitely paid off because A+ Hong Kong definitely hit the spot for a cold and drizzly evening. It was quite busy and there was a waitlist after we checked out the extensive menu and decided to give it a try. But I was sold once I saw they served Mala Tang and the Beef and Egg gravy over Rice Noodle dish, one that you don't see often at restuarants but has become of of my favorite dishes. It is a small and casual space that can accomodate 10-15 parties. It was quite busy when we were seated, and it seems like there were only 1 or 2 servers at the time, but they did a great job for how swamped they were. The Mala Tang was a bit bland, but it was good for a cold day. I probably wouldn't get it again though. The star of the night was definitely the Beef and Egg Gravy over Rice Noodles dish. It was savory and comforting, there was nothing I would change about it. I'm drooling as I write this review. I will be counting down the days until we are reunited!

I love this place. In my experience, do not confuse it with the other A+ HK restaurants in the ID. I get the stir fried rice rolls with XO sauce (a must), sautéed sweet pea vines (greens for health), egg and dried scallop fried rice, and salt and pepper tofu. service is brisk and friendly. Ambiance is like a cozy and casual Chinese diner.

I tried the minced pork and salted fish clay pot rice - absolutely delicious. The salted fish flavor really stands out. The rice takes about 10-20 minutes to prepare, but it's worth the wait for that perfect crispy bottom. Also tired their spareribs over rice roll in a stone pot. It is my first time trying this unique dish. It is surprisingly good. If you're craving HK flavors, it is a must-try in the Seattle Chinatown

I went there on a Saturday around noon. It was not busy. The place looked clean. A major plus was that their restroom (I only checked out the female restroom) was clean. I had been to restaurants in Chinatown that I did not feel comfortable to use their restrooms. I ordered their Hainan chicken. I'm from Hong Kong. I set the bar high. I also understand that if a restaurant does not sell lots of Hainan chicken, the restaurant usually premade their Hainan chicken. For the Hainan chicken at this restaurant, the chicken and the rice did not taste fresh. The chicken was a little bit under room temp and the rice was abt the room temp. During the time I was at the restaurant, seems like beef chow fun and fried tofu are their popular dishes. I will go back to the restaurant, but I will try dishes that they will freshly make.

Been coming here for awhile now and this place always hits the spot for some yummy comfort food. I love their stone pot rice dishes but I decided on giving some other dishes a try as well. We came on a Tuesday night and the service was really fast. It's a great place for a chill meal with friends. We went with mapo tofu and this stone pot fish and tofu dish. The mapo tofu was interesting and I really enjoyed it. It's different than your normal mapo tofu at any sichuan restaurant, this is less spicy and more of an umami taste. The tofu also had an interesting texture to it as well. The stone pot fish and tofu was comforting. Really big chunks of fish and tofu, a bang for your buck for sure. It also comes with lots of veggie so you feel good eating it. Both dishes paired well with a side of rice.

4 1/2 stars for food. My Beef Brisket Noodle Soup was so flavorful and umami. I hope it wasn't msg because it is quite possibly one of my favorite bowls of noodle soup I have ever tried to date. Tender beef brisket, flavorful broth, perfectly cooked noodles, curry sauce on point. I will miss this restaurant when I travel back home. Upon entering, the dining room was quite crowded. If I remember correctly it was around 8-8:30 PM on a Friday night. We saw an empty table for 4 and motioned to one of the servers that we would seat ourselves at the empty table. She nodded yes and after a few seconds came by to clean the table from those seated before us. Food was ordered and came out fairly quickly for how crowded the restaurant was. Everyone loved their dishes. The only downside is parking. We had to drive around a few times before finding a parking spot, but it was well worth the trouble.

Forget Mike's Noodle House for the wonton soup!! Come here for the wonton soup if you want perfectly cooked noodles and great broth! Same with the braised brisket noodle soup. Both very flavorful. Food came out super fast and service was quick. Would definitely come back here! We also typically get their desserts- specifically the mango pomelo sago which is always a hit!

Some of the most authentic Hong Kong food I have had in Seattle! I've been in Seattle for 2 years yet most of the Chinese and Hong Kong food seem inauthentic. I'm glad to have found this spot for a last minute dinner. We arrived around 8:30 PM and got seated right away. It is a casual place. Last call is at 9:15 as they close at 9:30 PM. We ordered the pork hock with rice rolls and the preserved egg and pork congee as our main entrees. We also got coconut milk mango sago and purple rice coconut milk mango desserts. Everything was spectacular. We even got served complimentary hot tea. The pork hocks came out sizzling hot and had tons of flavor while being tender and plump. The congee had ample egg and pork plus a side of you Tiao (Chinese fried donut) which was fried to perfection but not too oily. The desserts were sweet but not too sweet, a perfect ending to our hot entrees. The mango was fresh and the sago and purple rice were well-cooked. I wish there was more! Parking is always a bit difficult to find in CID but we found some street parking after making a few rounds. The waitstaff are very nice but please be patient as English may not be their first language.
